We could not have asked for a better nanny than Rodanthe during our time in Greece. Kind, caring, affectionate, generous and reliable, she put the needs of our boy above everything. Our son adored her, and their relationship became something very special over the course of her 6 months with us. To have her lovely daughter, Dimitra, help out occasionally was a bonus, as she was equally fantastic.
We paid above what the average rate for a nanny in Greece is, but the care our son received was also well above average. It was everything we hoped for and more.
The service provided by Kids In Greece was very good, especially given the precarious times we all found ourselves in during the pandemic. Katia is responsive and very helpful and is doing a great job finding the best nannies.
We absolutely loved Vassia and all cried when she left! She immediately made friends with my two, aged 4 and 3, bringing a whole suitcase of ‘magic’ with her which they opened every day (crafts, paints, etc). She was full of energy, knowing exactly when to take a step back and when to step in, and always said yes no matter what it was I asked of her, with a smile! She played, did trips to the beach, came on a (sometimes very bumpy) boat, swam, read books, played endless pirates and hide and seek, cooked, cleaned, organised, and was on top of everything. It was not an easy job, given that the summer is very much a family get together, and invariably the little ones want to be with older ones and parents – but she was great at distracting when needed, and leaving be too. She was fun, firm when needed, got on with any local staff such as the housekeeper and we can’t recommend her more highly.
