Overview

My name is Eleni. I am a 38-year-old, dedicated Special Education Teacher with 14 years of experience working in primary schools. My passion for this field began early in life, deeply inspired by growing up with family members with disabilities. Since graduating from university, I have devoted my career to supporting, educating, and caring for children of all abilities.

Beyond my extensive time in the classroom, my hands-on childcare experience includes working for three years as a dedicated companion for individuals with disabilities at summer camps. Additionally, I have proudly served as a volunteer for the Special Olympics, further reinforcing my commitment to accessible and empathetic care.

Specialized Skills & Languages To ensure I can support every child’s unique needs, I have pursued specialized training:

  • Languages: Greek (Native), English (Good working proficiency).
  • Alternative Communication: Fluent in Greek Sign Language and proficient in reading and writing Braille.

Activities & Engagement When spending time with children, I prioritize active, imaginative play over screen time. I love filling our days with creative projects, arts and crafts, and educational games. We also spend time reading books together, listening to music, and going for refreshing outdoor walks to keep them active and happy.

Why I Love Working with Children For me, childcare is profoundly rewarding because of the meaningful, authentic connections I get to build with each child. I approach my work with a deep sense of responsibility, a constant smile, and genuine love. My core philosophy is rooted in the complete acceptance of diversity and the absolute importance of inclusion. I strive to create a safe, joyful, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued exactly as they are.
